As you can see it’s not over crowded, hmmmmm nice and relaxing.

Who says a Vacation has to cost an arm and a leg. A day at the Beach is a lot of fun and at the right time of the year there is a lot to look at too!

You can have your day in the sun right here so come for a visit.
You will find a lot to do here on Amelia Island and it doesn’t kill your Bank account.

Amelia Island farmer’s market

Here on Amelia Island you can get up on Saturday mornings and come out to the local farmers market.  It starts at 9:00am until 1:00pm , The Market is located right in the heart of downtown Fernandina Beach.

Don’t get confused  the city of Fernandina Beach is a part of Amelia Island and the Island is not that big at all.

come out and mingle with local farmers, business owners and the public as you wander through a  selection of farm direct fruits and vegetables harvested just before Market day, as well as a variety of organic products, and specialty foods. You’ll also discover gourmet baked goods from crusty breads to delectable desserts, and prepared foods such as jellies, relishes and marinades. The Market is also the perfect location to choose from a wide variety of specialty tropical plants and landscaping plants, including orchids, herbs, and garden flowers. Read the rest of this entry »
